and Place of Birth: Born in Khoder, Bekaa, Lebanon, on November 27, 1967.
Son of Mukhtar Ali Hussein Awdi of Khoder.
Marital Status: Married to Rima Bader Eddine and has two daughters,
Sabrina and Luana.
Educational background:
1- BA in Business Administration, Eastern Ct State Univesity, May 25th 1990, Willimantic,
Connecticut, USA.
2- MBA in International Business, University of Hartford, West Hartford, USA.
3- Studied at the American University of Beirut between 1986 and 1988 before moving on to
the United States.
Business Background: Owner of Awdi company which deals in real estate,
shops and fabrics for furniture in Bucharest, Romania. It is part of the Miami Group in
Romania, which deals in press, hotels, real estate, shopping malls, agriculture and
clothes. In Lebanon, I deal in agricultural products like grapes, potatoes, growing kiwi
fruits in Housh Sneid, Bekaa, in coopetaion with Liban Lait factory.
Career Highlights:
1 - Member of the Arab American Anti Discrimination Committee in the Connecticut (Ct)
Chapter, currently Chaired by Mr. Sameer Hassan, an American citizen of Lebanese Decsent
(Mlich, south Lebanon).
2 - Received a scholarship from Saudi Prince Turkey Bin Abdulaziz Al Saud under The Arab
Student Aid International Plan.
3 - Received honorary medal from the Gebran Khalil Gebran Educational Fund in
Boston, Mass, USA.
4 - Participated in washigton DC and Connecticut in all conventions of adc( arab american
anti discrimination).
5 - Member of Green Peace Lebanon.
6- Experience in the rural areas of Bekaa, Akkar, south Lebanon, and the agricultural
sector in general.
6 - Experience in furniture, textiles and electronic trade.
7 - Experience in internet, e-government, e-marketing, e-agriculture and lobbying
political parties.
8 - Experience in TVA, privatization, and taxation.
9 - Experience in international trade, marketing, fairs. Attended fairs in Brazil, France,
