Professional Career: Businessman with focus on real estate.
Political Career: Elected deputy in 1992, reelected in 1996 and 2000 for
the Zahle Maronite seat. Chairman of the Parliamentay Budget and Finance Parliamentary
Committee. Member of the Agriculture, Tourism and Environment Committee. Minister of
Defence in Rafic Hariri's fourth cabinet (October 26, 2000 - April 15, 2003). State
minister in Rafic Hariri's fifth cabinet (April 17 - October 26, 2004).
